This series was my introduction to The Lord of the Rings, which became one of my favourite stories. I first heard it on radio I was 10 years old. I read the book over the weeks that the series aired, and was impressed by how faithful it was to Tolkien's work. The way I read the characters in the book has always been shaped by they way they sounded in this series, and I still love listening to it.

The original and for me the best incarnation of the Hitchhiker's Guide. This has been a favourite since I was a child, and it can still make me laugh out loud.
