Plot
Based on the award-winning children's book of the same name, Holes tells the story of teenage Stanley Yelnats who is suffering under an ancient family curse. Wrongly convicted of stealing, Stanley is banished to Camp Green Lake, a juvenile detention camp situated on the bed of a dried-up lake in Texas. There, the cruel Warden forces the boys to dig a series of holes. Stanley discovers that her apparently sadistic actions are part of her plot to uncover a long-buried secret; he plans an escape hoping to expose the goings-on at the camp and lift the curse forever.
